    North Fork American River - Class 4+

    North Fork American is just three hours northeast of San Francisco, 1 hour from Sacramento or 1-1/2 hours from Lake Tahoe! Whitewater rafting in California is on a one day trip that includes lunch or a two day combo trip with meals and camping. We meet outside of Auburn, California. This Rafting Trip is ideal for aggressive, athletic users with prior whitewater rafting experience. Minimum age is 16 years old. Call toll free 1.888.723.8938 for more info. Premium river rafting in the springtime bring a challenge for the aggressive, experienced paddler. North Fork American River starts early March and should go through early May and possibly into June in great snow pack years. (psst...college student discounts.!

    rafting gearSpringtime trips require gear, so you should include this with each rafting trip that we offer. See the picture to the left for an example of what to wear. DO NOT WEAR COTTON! A farmer john wetsuit, splash jacket, helmet, lunch and guide service is all you need. Bring an enthusiastic and positive attitude along with a hearty appetite! Wetsuits are available for a small fee.

    Class 4+ whitewater requires strong, healthy active individuals who have prior experience on Class 3+ rafting trips. We recommend experienced paddlers. Meeting time is usually 9:00 AM. Please verify times w/ office staff.

    Spring rafting is the best time for aggressive, athletic paddlers!.

    Trip Descriptions & Packages

    One Day River Trip - 9.3 miles with lunch

    Class 4+ whitewater trip includes wetsuits (on most packages; just ask!), paddle jackets, helmets, lifejackets, lunch and guide service. We recommend experienced paddlers. Each raft holds 4 to 6 people plus the guide. Meeting time is usually 9:00 AM or 1:00 PM depending on California State Park lottery. Check the group picture on the left. Strong, hardy paddlers in excellent health are the best paddlers for this intense white water rafting trip. Min age is 16 yrs Discounts!

    One Day River Trip with lunch, camping and dinner

    We shuttle you back to our base camp at Camp Lotus and provide a camping and dinner package. Camping on the river includes shower facilities, bathrooms and vehicle access. See our menus for a preview of your lunch and dinner. This is an ideal package for the budget-minded.

    Double Run Rafting Trip - 18.6 miles with lunch

    team-buildingRun the river twice in one day! This package is ideal for the aggressive, athletic paddler who wants the ultimate challenge. Start times meet early in order to run the NoFo twice. The double run comes with a lunch served right after the first run. (Add $69/person to any one day discount price for a double run!)

    Ask about adding a camp and dinner package for only $35 per person. We bring you back to camp and serve hors d'ouevres and dinner. Tents are included; just bring your sleeping bag and pad. Sleep in the next morning before you drive home!

    Two Day Combo Package - 30 mi; 2 rivers in 2 days

    Combine the North Fork American with the Middle Fork or South Fork American for double the fun! We advise strong athletic whitewater paddlers. We base camp at Camp Lotus and we take care of the shuttling between rivers. In the early spring, you can do 3 rivers in 3 days (50 miles) for an ultimate combo river package! Min age is 16 years old for Combo Packages.
