Write a poem about the American River rafting trips. Two poems will be chosen on May 15th. We are looking for one poem of sincere eloquence and the other, well, it can be whatever you want. You can submit two poems from one email address or mail it to us directly (address on left side at the bottom.) Wax on my sensitive poets... we want to read your stuff... note, that we will only publish ones that are G-rated, please.

Here's a ditty that I just wrote right now!

Oh, the American River
Your white foam tantalizes
As I drop into your gaping mouth
We spin and the boat is mangalized!
We bend, we twist, we flail like dolls
And then ever so smoothly
We drop over the falls!

(Okey... I know, there's no such word as mangalized!)
