Combination trips are our most popular two day rafting packages in California. You do two different rivers in two days or three different rivers in three days! Depending on the skill level of your group, we recommend several combination trips for the beginner to intermediate to advanced paddler. Other combinations are possible for customized trips. Just ask! Graduation, birthdays, special events... Give a Gift of Adventure!
The first day is a 10.5 mile stretch on the South Fork American on a tumbling run over Class 3 whitewater with names like Meatgrinder, Racehorse Bend and the world-reknown "Troublemaker Rapid!" Lunch is served on the river at the historical Miner's Creek. At the end of the day, we float into Camp Lotus where we originally met. There at the camp, our guides start hors d'ouevres while you shower at your leisure. Dinner is served and the guides provide a welcoming campfire to end the first day. The next morning starts with breakfast and then we travel to the put-in site for the North Fork American Chamberlain Falls run. This exciting Class 4 run will excite even the most jaded rafter. Lunch is provided on the river and we are usually back to Camp Lotus around 4:00 pm.
Athletic beginners are welcome! Min age is 16 years old. Early spring only.
See our online store for current rates. (same price as SF/MF)
What's the difference between this package and the one above? This was designed for the already experienced rafter who wants to do the Class 4 Northfork run first and end the second day with a more leisurely Class III run. The second day comes off the water early (around 3:30 pm) so that travel back home can start early. This is a popular package for the Bay Area folks! We still meet at Camp Lotus on the morning of the first day and camp there. We just start the first day on the Class IV run! All meals are included as in the above description.
This package is ideal for experienced, athletic users. Min age is 16 years. Early spring only.
See our online store for current rates.
This package is recommended for more experienced river rafters. Depending on flows, we may run the first day on the North Fork American or the Middle Fork American. We ask that you meet at Camp Lotus on the morning of the first day where we will discuss which run to do first! Please call our office for questions on this package. Camping and all meals are provided as in the above descriptions.
This package is recommended for the experienced, aggressive, athletic paddlers only. Min age is 16 years old. Early spring only.

The first day we do a Full River run on the Southfork American with lunch. That's 21 miles of whitewater rafting! Again, we base camp at Camp Lotus with hors d'ouevres and dinner. After breakfast the next morning, we head out for a 19 mile run on the Middle Fork American Tunnel Chute run. This awesome wilderness river is in one of the most isolated canyons in the state of California and is home to the Western States 100 mile race! Lunch on the river is welcoming after the harrowing ride through Class IV+ Tunnel Chute rapid. We portage Class VI (unrunnable) Rucka Chucky Falls and head out of the canyon back to Camp Lotus by our shuttle. After the showers and dinner, we discuss the more serious run for the third day on the Northfork American. The third day starts with breakfast and everyone is issued a wetsuit. We hunker down for some serious Class IV+ action and paddle through a beautifully carved narrow canyon. Again, we shuttle back to Camp Lotus where we say our goodbye's! After this trip, you are a bona fide, hardcore, seasoned rafter ready for our Cal Salmon Class V run!
This package is recommended for athletically conditioned individuals who can withstand over 50 miles of paddling in three days. Spring only
