California whitewater rafting trips are enhanced with our special menus. Our philosophy about rafting is that a great rafting trip becomes excellent with a gourmet, gourmand meal! See below for our typical menus. Please note that we may change or substitute items based on availability and freshness. Please contact our office via email (place your reservation number in subject line, please) if you have special dietary requirements, such as kosher, vegan, etc. We also need to know if anyone in your party has a food allergy requiring an epi-pen.

Many of our favorite paddler clients have asked us for our recipes. Even the Boy Scout troops have "borrowed" our favorite menu items. Here are the most popular requests over the last 30+ years:
Please note that these rafting recipes have been modified to incorporate smaller serving sizes. Let us know which is your favorite! Or tell us if you had a failed attempt! We recommend that you check with your local ordinances if you are in your backyard or park or local camping area for fire regulations. For a lighter fare, we provide a continental breakfast before the Middle Fork American trips.
Lunch has a variety of deli options including Albacore and Guacamole salads. Fresh fruit on the side.
Dinner is a gourmand fare of vegan, vegetarian and meat-eater's menu!
Incredible desserts are prepared in the dutch oven for the chocolate and cake lovers!

Two weeks prior to your trip, please send us an email explaining your food allergy or restriction. Common allergies include:
Please let us know if you will be carrying an epi-pen for your food allergy. Pack your epi-pen in a sturdy freezer bag. Mark your bag with a permanent marker with your name. Place a sheet of paper inside of the bag with your name, your physicians name with doctor's phone number and an emergency contact number for someone who is not on the trip. Give this to the headguide for our first aid kit.

We encourage slow food! Slow food movement encourages sustainable resources to conserve water for growing produce and producing meat. Try to eat well and lose a few pounds doing that. Stay away from fast foods! Here are some great resources for eating right.
