Spring and early summer (March to July) are the prime rafting seasons, as snowmelt fuels the rivers. However, dam-controlled rivers like the South Fork American provide excellent rafting conditions throughout the summer and into early fall.
We’ll provide all the necessary gear, including life jackets, helmets, and paddles. You should bring sunscreen, a reusable water bottle, sturdy water shoes, and quick-drying clothing. For overnight trips, we’ll send you a detailed packing list.
Rafting is a family-friendly activity, with trips suitable for kids as young as 7 on calmer rivers like the South Fork American. Some rivers have higher age or fitness requirements due to their challenging rapids.
